Play Based Intentional Teaching

At the beginning of your child’s educational journey with us in kindergarten and pre-primary, we provide an exciting, play-based stimulating environment where your child will learn a range of skills and concepts.  Your child will develop solid foundations for social and emotional competency as well as becoming literate and numerate.

We take a ‘Play Based Intentional Teaching’ approach. This is a balance of explicit teaching, guided play and child directed play. The learning activities are planned in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework and the Western Australian Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines for kindergarten students and West Australian Curriculum for pre-primary students.  We regularly evaluate our work against the National Quality Standards for Early Childhood Education.
