Through STEM, children engage creatively in real world problems, applying their understanding of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in integrated and innovative ways. Students become confident users of a range of technologies.
We choose to use the WA Scitech STEM Learning Project Curriculum. Problem-solving for todays world with analysis, collaboration and creativity are at the core of this program.
This program challenges our students to seek solutions to open-ended real world problems. The projects become progressively more challenging across our school from building a ‘stronger’ chair for Baby Bear in pre-primary to designing an bush fire early warning system in Year 6.
Skills developed by students through STEM provide them with the foundation to succeed at school and beyond.
