Contributing at School

We welcome volunteers who are willing to donate their time and skills to support our students.  If you would like to volunteer, please contact the Front Office so that we can consider how best to use your talents.

You will be asked to sign and abide by our Parent/Volunteer Agreement.  If you are not a parent, you will need a current Working with Children Check card.

There are a variety of ways families can contribute to our school.  Our school is fortunate to be supported by an active Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association which donates funds to support the work of the school.  You can nominate for election to our School Board. Our Board works at the strategic level of school governance.  Summaries of Board activities and adverts for members are presented in our newsletter.

School Board

Our current Board Chair is Kelly Howard who can contacted via email Kelly.howard@outlook.com .

The Board contributes to school governance at the strategic level.  Board members are expected to represent the school community.  Members do not represent one viewpoint or the view of an individual.  Therefore, board members regularly seek the opinions of the whole school community, especially when policies are being developed. Feel free to contact members with your ideas and questions.  If your question relates to an operational issue at the school or concerns an individual student or staff member, you are likely to be directed by the board member to contact school staff.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

As we all know, our children’s education is a collective effort, and together, we can make a significant impact on their school experience. That’s why we’d like to extend a warm invitation to you to join the Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association, a dedicated group of volunteers committed to enhancing our school community.

The P&C is a diverse and inclusive association that comprises parents, non-parent community members, and teachers. While we warmly welcome everyone, parents/ carers make up the vast majority of our dedicated members. We firmly believe that by working together, we can support our staff and maintain a vibrant, supportive environment for our children to thrive.

You might already have experienced the positive impact of the P&C without even realizing it! Perhaps you’ve participated in the Colour Run, enjoyed a delicious meal from the canteen, or marvelled at the fantastic STEM table in the science room? These are just a few examples of the exciting initiatives the P&C organizes. Over the past eight years, we’ve averaged an impressive $12,000 per year in fundraising. These funds directly contribute to enhancing our school and providing our children with additional opportunities they deserve.

Our primary focus is on fundraising events that not only inject fun and excitement into our kids’ lives but also raise funds for school improvements. We firmly believe that every child deserves a nurturing and enriching educational environment, and we work tirelessly towards this shared goal.

We meet twice per term in weeks 3 & 8 at 3:15 pm in the school staffroom, and we invite you to join us.
